29 Years of Service, Fellowship, and Celebration
On December 11, 2025, Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa gathered to celebrate a significant milestone, our 29th Charter Day Anniversary. Held alongside our December General Meeting, this event was more than just a commemoration of the past; it was a tribute to the journey that has shaped us and a celebration of the members who continue to carry the spirit of Rotaract forward.
The evening began with a touch of tradition and respect as we lit the oil lamp, symbolizing wisdom and unity. With pride, we stood together for the National Anthem, followed by the Rotaract Song, a reminder of the purpose and commitment that define us. The formal proceedings of Rotaract then set the tone for the evening, reinforcing our values as an organization.
Taking a step back in time, a special video gave us a glimpse of what Rotaract has been like over the years. From impactful projects to unforgettable memories, the video captured the essence of our journey, a reminder of how far we’ve come and the countless lives we’ve touched along the way.
One of the most anticipated moments of the evening was the cake-cutting ceremony, marking 29 years of dedication, service, and friendship.
As the cake was cut, it wasn’t just about celebrating another year; it was about honoring the people and the passion that has made this club what it is today. To make the occasion even sweeter, all attendees were treated to a delightful selection of sweets, adding to the warmth and joy of the celebration.
The night was also a time of recognition and gratitude.
Members who had actively contributed to various projects were appreciated for their hard work, and service letters were distributed as a token of acknowledgment. Their dedication has been the driving force behind our success, and this was a well-deserved moment to honor their efforts.
As the event came to a close, there was a strong sense of pride and anticipation for the future.
