Shaping The Professionalism To Perfection - Apprentice

Professionalism is a key to perfectionism, it will guide to the end where you want to go.

Apprentice; the most valuable and useful professional development program has been successfully carrying out by most adroit and talented professionals in the real industry world organized by undergraduates of University of Moratuwa during the last two years. Undergraduates from universities are the top most preferred competing candidates in the industry but most of them fail to fight against the competing real world without having proper understanding about the professionalism. The ultimate scope of Apprentice is to make a professionalized, enthusiastic and potential undergraduate by giving mentoring sessions through most experienced professionals in Sri Lanka. Apprentice has succeeded its five sessions with resource people who are eminent personality with a high repute in their field of expertise.

 

Session one was carried out with the imminent presence of Mr. Shehan Adhikari, Supply chain project manager of Brandix Lanka Ltd on the 13th of August 2015 at Brandix, Colombo 03 premises.

On 6th of October 2015, session two was done by Mr. Bandula Egodage, CE & Chairman of SLEDB, Vice President Corporate Affairs & Communications of Nestle Lanka PLC at The SLEDB (Sri Lanka Export Development Board), No. 42, Navam Mawatha, Colombo 2.

Continuing the momentum the third session was held at Sampath Bank Head Office on 24th of November 2015 with the presence of Mr. Aravinda Perera, Managing Director Sampath Bank PLC.

Though the preceding months with Rotaract Mora was busy preparing for the biggest professional development project in the Rotaract calendar, Apperentice was on the hold waiting to resurface with much vigour.

On 25th February 2016 the much waited fourth session was held at DirectFN Head Office, No.60, Davidson rd., Colombo, with the presence of Mr. Ruwan Aluthgedara, Chief Technology officer at DirectFN.

The final session for this Rotaract year was held on the 21st March 2016 at Port City Office with the eminent presence of Mr. Thilan Wijesinghe, Chairman of TWCorp (Pvt) Ltd., Sapphirus Lanka (Pvt) Ltd and Digital Commerce Lanka (Pvt) Ltd.

Entrepreneurship development in Sri Lanka, the view and newer perspectives to obtain better achievements in life, reading the success and learning from the failure, devotion on the goal, creativity of mind, sacrifice and evolvement for success, time for using precious opportunities and many other focused areas were discussed in all sessions by each experts with the example of their own experiences.
