According to the Forbes Magazine, Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, Sheryl Sandberg has been named the most powerful woman in technology on the 2016 Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list, and with an overall ranking of number seven. Before she joined Facebook, she was Vice President of Global Online Sales and Operations at Google and was involved in launching Google’s philanthropic arm, Google.org. She is not only a billionaire executive, but also a great philanthropist.
The second place in the list of most powerful women in technology was taken by Chief Executive Officer of YouTube, Susan Wojcicki with an overall ranking as number eight. Wojcicki, was also named to Time Magazine’s 100 most influential people in 2015 and was described as the most powerful woman on the internet. The third place in the tech list goes to Meg Whitman. She has achieved an overall ranking of number nine in the Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list. She is currently the President and Chief Executive Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, as well as the Chairwoman of HP Inc. Previously Whitman has served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of eBay, from 1998 to 2008.
