Towards ‘Explore|Develop|Serve’ - 24th Installation Ceremony

Featured Aug 24, 2019

Being one of the highly recognized Rotaract clubs in the district, Rotaract Mora stepped forward into its 24th year as a voluntary service based club. The Installation Ceremony for the Rotaract year 2019/20 was grandly held at DHPL Auditorium on the 11th of August, 2019. Rotaract Mora, having spent one of its most glorious years, winning a multitude of awards at the District Assembly including the Award for the Most Outstanding Rotaract Club of the year 2018/19, humbly appreciated its members and the outgoing Board of Directors of the year 2018/19 at the occasion.

The Immediate Past President, Rtr.Paveen Perera and outgoing Secretary, Rtr. Kashuni Buddhima, without whom the club wouldn’t have been able to achieve its excellent reputation up to this intensity, were given a hearty goodbye mingled with delight.

The passing down of the collar to the incoming President, Rtr. Dhanuka Perera marked the dawn of a new era of Rotaract Mora. Thereafter the new Board of Directors for the year 2019/20 were officially appointed to their respective positions.

‘Explore|Develop|Serve’, being the theme of this Rotaract year, was revealed through a video which focused on exploring new opportunities, developing ourselves to conquer those opportunities and to serve the community through our development. The new Board of Directors was all set to embark upon its expedition to explore, develop and serve.

The vibrancy of the day was dramatically enhanced when our very own Rotaractors took the opportunity to display their aesthetic skills by giving a heart-warming performance on stage. It not only filled the audience with awe, but also proved the multi-potentiality of the club members.

The 24th Installation Ceremony of Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa was concluded in a magnificent tone with the presence of Rotaract District Executives, distinguished guests and nearly 150 Rotaractors and Interactors. We sincerely thank all our supporters for their assistance and guidance as we hope to revisit friendships and reach new pathways within this year to carry Rotaract Mora to greater heights.
