Twisted Fate

A composition by Rtr. Garisha Herath

He was bright as the day,

She was quiet as the bay,

He was all for play,

And she was a little merry-Jay.

He got sundaes on his birthdays,

She pots Sundays on the Archways,

He was all for horseplay,

She was appalled in Bombay.

He played all day,

And had nothing on his resume,

Had no leeway,

So drank to getaway.

She worked all day,

Sold nosegay,

Started her pathway,

That lead to her breakaway.

He is a mess who went astray,

She is a success that made her way

He is the buyer of his own doomsday,

And she was the purveyor for his end-day.
