London Stock Exchange is one of the world’s oldest stock exchanges and can trace its history back more than 300 years. London Stock Exchange Group was created in October 2007 when London Stock Exchange merged with Milan Stock Exchange, Borsa Italiana. LSEG entered the Sri Lankan IT arena in 2009 after acquiring MillenniumIT, a Sri Lanka-based technology solutions provider serving the global capital market business. Ever since then, LSEG has been shaping the Sri Lankan corporate landscape in its own unique way, as well as our country’s glittering future.
Having an unwavering and intense partnership of nearly 05 years with Rotaract Mora, we are more than happy to announce that LSEG has played a leading role in providing us with the right support at the precise moment and has been a monumental fervor to us.
To recall the first-ever exclusive experience of being partners with LSEG, they were the Club Strategic Partner in Millenium IT back then in the year 2016/17. From that day till now our bond has become stronger and stronger.
It’s much more honorable contentment for us to proclaim that LSEG is the Platinum Partner of Are You Ready?and the Technology Partner of Grama Prabodaya, even for the year 20/21.
‘Are You Ready?’ , introduced in 1998, organized in collaboration with the university’s Career Guidance Unit is a much-awaited event in the university calendar that marks the official careers week of the university. It’s the connecting platform of the university’s undergraduates with the corporate world. The spotlight of ‘Are You Ready?’ is on mock or real interviews conducted by prospective employers for the final year batch of the university. This event is an invigoration for the students to elucidate their skills to match the requirements of the job market and corporate arena at large.
For the years 2017/18, 2018/19, 2019/20, LSEG had been the vigor of our club, bestowing the assistance in every way they could.
Grama Prabodaya is another signature project initiated by us in 2016, under the Community Service avenue, with the significant concept of supporting a selected underprivileged village lacking acceptable living standards while also working towards improving the mentalities of its villagers and providing them with opportunities that can help them rise above their depraved lifestyles. Grama Prabodaya has won numerous global and local awards including the “Single Club International Winner” in the year 2016/17 at the Rotaract Outstanding Project Awards by Rotary International, which was the first time the award was won by a Sri Lankan Rotaract Club.
As a group of young undergraduates from a university-based club, the enlightenment Rotaract Mora received from LSEG technologies as one of the top tech giants in the software industry, is incomparable, and the strength which has been given has constantly pushed us to take another step forward to achieve our best. The driving power of this long-standing partnership remains unshaken behind each milestone we pass. Rotaract Mora shines with the rays of motivation because of this unwavering support.
We are eternally grateful for your help in providing a life-changing experience for the community and the membership of Rotaract Mora and we are fondly anticipating the tie-up with LSEG for many more years to come.
