Hit Your Dream Job For A High-Flying Career – Flagship Day 2019

“Are You Ready? 2019”, the official career fair of University of Moratuwa intended to fuel the extraordinary among the undergraduates, was successfully concluded with the grandest event of all the sessions, the Flagship Day. It was held on the 25th of October with the participation of more than 40 leading companies in the corporate world. The opening ceremony was graced with the presence of distinguished guests and the corporates from the companies. The guest of honor of the opening ceremony of the day was District Rotaract Representative, Rotaractor PP Krishan Balaji. The ceremony was honored with many interesting speeches including the words of wisdom delivered by the Chancellor of University of Moratuwa, Vidya Jothi Prof. K. K. Y. W. Perera. The conclusion of the ceremony was marked with tokens of appreciation being awarded to the guests and event sponsors who gave their fullest support to make this event an immense success.
Simultaneously, interviews were conducted for the undergraduates in order to enhance their personality and professional skills to make the pathway leading to their dream jobs. The companies were willing to recruit the young university undergraduates who have sound knowledge of theoretical aspects along with innovative ideas and also to provide them with an exposure to the highly specific and dynamic job world. Also, every undergraduate received the invaluable opportunity to clarify their own doubts and ideas with the company representatives about the job field which they expect to enter.
The six preparatory sessions hosted prior to the Flagship Day of “Are You Ready? 2019” were fully aimed at enhancing the skills of the undergraduates by guiding them on how to face the interviews with confidence to climb greater heights in their career ladders, how to make their personalities better, how to brand themselves to the corporate world and also on how to prepare a proper CV for the job interviews. The final and prime event of the series, the Flagship Day made the pathway for the final year undergraduates to finally unleash their potentials and brand their images not only as top-tier individuals, but also as well deserved young successors.
At the end of the day, tokens of appreciation were awarded to all the participant companies and their valuable feedback was collected so that the event could be improved further during future occasions. The Flagship Day was the greatest milestone of “Are You Ready? 2019” and it marked the end of the 24th chapter of one of the most imperative events hosted by Rotaract Club of University of Moratuwa.
